A stroll through the USC Peace Garden with Camille Dieterle, PhD, Director of the Graduate Certificate Program in Foundations of Lifestyle Redesign®, and Associate Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, USC Chan. A little history: In 2022, USC Peace Garden, led by Camille Dieterle, Associate Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, transformed a little-used lot near USC’s University Park Campus into a garden wellness space that is being used for education, research and programs serving the community. The purpose is to promote and demonstrate environmental sustainability, social and environmental justice, health promotion and wellness and community safety.
Dr. Dieterle teaches courses to graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of Lifestyle Redesign®, an occupational therapy intervention for prevention and better self-management of chronic conditions; health promotion, therapeutic group treatment, community based program development, environmental sustainability and crafts and creativity.
