RESEARCH VIDEOS
Adam Gilbert, Professor, Chair of Musicology and Director of Early Music Program at USC’s Thornton School of Music introduces his research focus on historical performance practices. He also studies and directs performances of medieval, renaissance and baroque music.
Adam Gilbert shares surprising findings in how composers from the renaissance linked image text and music to create meaning, often intertwining political messages and theological symbolism.
