Music in the Apocalyptic Mode

CPW (Center for the Premodern World at USC)  will be hosting Colin McAllister, who is visiting us from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. Colin is both a musicologist and a musician. His academic work focuses on the apocalypse and the music of the Middle Ages. At CPW, he will be talking about the ideas and impact of apocalyptic music, spanning from the Middle Ages to modern pop, metal, and reggae. The talk will be “illustrated” with sound.
